Azealia Banks- Slow Hands
This is better than the original, dare I say? Anyway, I remember Soulseeking the Interpol record and not being nuts about it but also knowing that (being sophomoric, in all senses) I had to own it and have a commentary on it for the sake of kvetching at sticky-floored house parties (I wasn’t a heavy drinker yet, so I needed an arsenal of conversation pieces).
2004 was also the year that I first got called a “fucking hipster,” for, of all things, my white vintage sunglasses. I should also point out that this assignation was made by a manarchist in my campus’ chapter of Food Not Bombs, SO. I’ve had something of a distaste for that particular subculture ever since. #occupywhitedudesrecordcollections, or something.
Edited to include post-script: At the time, said manarchist was dating my BFFL. She came out of the closet three years later.
